In a city that has been influenced by many different far-off cultures over time, there is still a village feel in each historic neighborhood. Stroll through the Pombaline grid of streets in the Baixa district that opens on to the Tagus in Praça do Comércio, then follow the river to discover some of the city’s most beautiful parts: the monumental area of Belém with its World Heritage monuments, the mediaeval quarters and the latest contemporary hot spots, such as the Parque das Nações.
If you continue to the mouth of the river, you'll understand why we say that Lisbon is the centre of a vast resort. Along the coastal road you’ll find beaches and beach resorts that combine villas and hotels from the beginning of the 20th century with marinas, terraces and excellent golf courses. Further along the coast you’ll come across world-renowned surfing beaches, but also the palaces scattered across the cultural landscape of Sintra, a World Heritage Site. The wide variety of landscapes and heritage is always close by, whether to the north or south of the capital. With beaches, natural parks, cultural routes and accommodation for all tastes, it is hard to escape the Lisbon region on a visit to Portugal.

Just opened in 2022! The new Hyatt Regency Lisbon includes fully furnished upscale suites and studios with balconies overlooking Tejo River. There is a rooftop restaurant and bar, wellness and fitness centre, shops, event space and parking. The hotel offers 204 rooms. For events, it has one large function room and one large meeting room that converts into four smaller meeting rooms.
In the Middle of it All...
The Editory Riverside Hotel is located at one of the oldest train stations in Portugal, Stª Apolónia. This was, and still is today, a crossing point for a lot of people. It is a convenient location, in the city centre and with such easy access to any transport, whether a train, the metro, taxis, buses or even boats. The hotel offers 126 rooms, a restaurant with the capacity of 122 guests with a sophisticated atmosphere. A bar in the middle resembles the inside of a restaurant on a train with a snack menu made of all sorts of ‘regional raw materials that arrived by rail at Stª Apolónia’.

The Ivens, part of the Autograph Collection Hotels has arrived in Lisbon. The hotel is a ‘place you arrive at and a place you set off from’ and is located in the city centre. It offers 87 magnificently decorated rooms with a serene balance of comfort and sophistication. The hotel also counts with a restaurant and two breath-taking bars.
Seeing Stars...
CURA at the Four Seasons Hotel Ritz opened in the middle of the pandemic with Chef Pedro Penas Bastos, and as it celebrates one year in business it celebrates its first Michelin Star. CURA is the most recent Michelin Star awarded restaurant in Lisbon. The restaurant has 28 seats and the concept of an open kitchen.

Convento do Beato is a 15th Century convent. The venue offers spacious and elegant spaces for unforgettable events. A historical site, today it hosts major events in its cloisters. Nine rooms and infinite possibilities – all in a single incomparable location, which stands out from its surroundings. With an excellent location and excellent infrastructure, it is the ideal place to hold the most varied events.
A Venue Fit for Royalty...
Ajuda Palace, above Belém, was built in 1795 and was Portugal’s last royal palace. The plans for the palace were huge but only a fifth of it was complete. In 1807, when Napoleon’s army invaded Portugal, the royal family fled to Brazil, so the construction stopped. The palace is often used for events. Last year, the western wing of the place, which was in ruins up to 2021, was rebuilt and will hold Portugal’s crown jewels, as well as gold and diamonds from Brazil. Everything is divided through eleven different sections, one of the biggest collections of its kind, and is scheduled to open to the public in November 2022.
