Monumental New Works and Dynamic Opportunities to Engage with Urban Contemporary Artists Activate the Wynwood Walls Campus During Miami Art Week 2026
Program features the premiere of six new large-scale murals, a major sculptural installation, and two new gallery exhibitions, alongside artist talks, workshops, encounters with the museum’s inaugural artist-in-residence, and more

Newly commissioned installations, monumental murals, and studio works activate the Wynwood Walls campus during Miami Art Week 2026, from the Wynwood Walls Museum to the Goldman Global Arts Gallery. Representing a range of street and urban contemporary artists, from rising talents to street art legends, the Art Week program centres on the theme WORK IN PROGRESS, which celebrates growth, reinvention, and the layered process through which both art and identity take shape.
At the Wynwood Walls Museum, six new large-scale murals debut from internationally recognized artists GIZ, Sonny Sundancer, Timur Fork, Mr B Baby, Hebru Brantley, and D*Face, alongside a major sculpture installation by Thomas Dambo. Visitors can also experience the fully transported Los Angeles studio of the Museum’s first artist-in-residence, Neo-Expressionist painter Danny Minnick, whose works are also on view at Goldman Global Arts Gallery.
The theme carries over to the Goldman Global Arts Gallery, where WORK IN PROGRESS is presented as a group exhibition of new studio works. The Gallery additionally features a solo presentation of new large-scale paintings by pioneering contemporary painter Doze Green, representing his exploration of lines and figures, titled Astra Castra Numen Lumen.
Complementing the major commissions, new works, and exhibitions debuting during Miami Art Week, the Wynwood Walls Museum is a hub of programming and activities that bring audiences into direct interaction with artists, as well as private and VIP experiences taking place Thursday, November 19 to Wednesday, December 2, 2026.
“I have always believed that creativity requires courage. The courage to take risks, to challenge what we believe, to expand the boundaries of thought, and sometimes to start over again. What I admire most about artists is their willingness to keep evolving, even when the path forward is uncertain,” says curator Jessica Goldman Srebnick. “WORK IN PROGRESS celebrates that spirit of growth and reinvention, not just in art, but in each of us. There is beauty in knowing that we are never truly finished. There is always more to discover, more to create, and more to push forward. To be human is to be a work in progress.

The artist’s L.A. studio will be transported to Miami, where he will create new works that draw inspiration from Wynwood Walls and the vibrant energy of Miami. With influences ranging from Helen Frankenthaler to Jean Michel Basquiat, Minnick breathes life into dynamic, large-scale compositions that render symbolic forms and figures, including his signature skeleton motif, through bold brushstrokes.
