A Taste of Luxury: Monica Galetti Joins Forces with Moanalei Villas

Moanalei Villas, Samoa’s premier new luxury escape, is proud to unveil an exclusive partnership with internationally renowned chef Monica Galetti and esteemed sommelier David Galetti to launch its signature restaurant, TASI, set to open in early 2026.


Perched above Apia, Moanalei Villas is a refined retreat dedicated to redefining luxury hospitality in Samoa. The boutique property will feature seven architecturally distinctive villas, private infinity pools, and a guest experience deeply rooted in elegance, culture, and personal connection.


Best known for her work in London’s Michelin-starred kitchens and her appearances on MasterChef: The Professionals and Amazing Hotels, Monica Galetti now returns to her Samoan roots to create something truly unique. Over the coming year, she will collaborate closely with Moanalei’s culinary team to develop a bold, refined menu celebrating Pacific flavours through a modern, global lens.

Chef Galetti will lead immersive training with the TASI culinary team, working alongside Moanalei’s Head Chef to shape the inaugural menu. Her focus will be on showcasing local, seasonal ingredients and elevating traditional Samoan flavours.

Joining Monica is her husband and long-time collaborator David Galetti, a seasoned sommelier and hospitality director, who will oversee service training and beverage curation. David will help establish a service philosophy that is warm, intuitive, and reflective of Moanalei’s commitment to bespoke guest experiences and exceptional hospitality. 


“This is a collaboration that is very dear to me,” says Monica Galetti. “It’s a way for me to reconnect with my Samoan roots and share the skills and knowledge I’ve gained over the years. David and I are incredibly excited to work with the Moanalei team to create something truly special together.”

As the social and culinary heart of Moanalei Villas, TASI is set to become a must-visit destination for global travellers and discerning food lovers alike.
